Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
This policy explains what data Cico ("we") accesses through your Instagram and Facebook Page connections and the Competitors screen, what we store, and how you can have it removed.
What we access
- Your Facebook account: your Facebook user ID and name, when you connect a Facebook Page in Settings > Integrations.
- Your Facebook Pages and linked Instagram accounts: the IDs and names of Pages you manage, plus the ID and username of the Instagram Business or Creator account linked to them, so you can choose which account competitor lookups run through.
- Public Instagram Business and Creator profiles you track or look up: username, name, bio, follower, following and post counts, profile picture, website, and recent public posts with their captions, like and comment counts, dates and links.
- Your own Instagram account (Instagram connection): profile details, insights, and your posts and reels, used for comment automations and media sync.
Competitor lookups use the Facebook permissions pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, instagram_basic and instagram_manage_insights. We only read data. We never post, comment, message, or change anything on your Facebook Pages, and we never read your ads or ad spend.
What we store
- Tracked handles: the Instagram usernames you add as your pages and their competitors are saved to your Cico account.
- Facebook Page connection: your Facebook user ID and name, the Page and Instagram account you chose, and access tokens stored encrypted on our servers. Tokens are never sent to your browser.
- Instagram connection: your account ID, username and account type, an encrypted access token, and your synced posts and reels, so automations can run.
Profile and post data for the accounts you track or look up is fetched live from Meta each time you view it and is never stored in our database or logs. Your browser may keep it in memory for a few minutes while the page is open. We do not sell, rent or share any of this data.
Deleting your data
Disconnect either connection in Settings > Integrations to delete its stored token, remove tracked handles on the Competitors screen, remove Cico from your Facebook Business Integrations, or follow the steps on our data deletion page.
